About
Máscara de cuerpo (Body Mask), 2019.
Wood, paint, metal.
Máscara de cuerpo is a sculpture that exists in two states. One dormant, where there an absent gaze awaiting. The other, the sculpture unfolds and becomes double: its skeleton stays while its body moves and is inhabited by a person, who looks through it. How do you look at a sculpture that looks back at you? How would you visit a space knowing you are being watched?
